Theatre Anton Anderle, Slovakia:
The World's Smallest Circus
The Slovakian puppeteer Anton Anderle and his little family theatre can trace their roots back to the end of the 1800s.
From then until the present, in a direct line down through the generations, the family has toured Slovakia and later internationally. The touring began with a horse drawn house wagon, which took the family from village to village; now they use airplanes on tour to international destinations.
In the performance The World's Smallest Circus we meet various artists, all of them presented with humour by the clown Kuki. Several of the puppets are more than 150 years old.
The play is accompanied by folk music played live on the accordion.
