Danish premiere
Green Ginger, Wales:
Frank Einstein
The basis for this story is Mary Shelly's novel 'Frankenstein'. With humour a la Monty Python and large, human sized, latex puppets, this is a tremendous show for adults.
The story quickly departs from the original Frankenstein as the plot is played on two levels:
the author Shelly Eveans, working on her book on one level and the story line of her book on another level. We follow both stories on stage simultaneously and we are witnesses as the scientist discovers a powder which can bring the dead back to life.
Suddenly the author finds herself in her own story.
Puppeteers Chris Pirie and Dik Downey handle the many different puppetry techniques in the show masterfully.
Frank Einstein has played for full houses at festivals in USA and Europe.
In the newspapers: ''Mercilessly disgusting humor… a must " (Time out, New York).
